Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and organized individual to join our team as a Steward. As a Steward, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our kitchen operations. Your duties will include cleaning and sanitizing kitchen equipment, utensils, and dishware, assisting chefs and kitchen staff, and ensuring a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and dishware to maintain hygiene standards
  • Provide support to chefs and kitchen staff as needed
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the dishwashing and kitchen areas, including floors, walls, and workstations
  • Operate dishwashing machines and other cleaning equipment safely and efficiently
  • Comply with food safety and sanitation regulations at all times
  • Contribute to receiving and storing kitchen supplies and maintaining proper stock rotation
  • Undertake additional tasks as required to support the kitchen team

Requirements

  • Previous experience in stewarding or kitchen cleaning is highly desirable
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for extended periods
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to hygiene and cleanliness
  • Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment handling
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • A positive attitude and a team-player mindset
