Job Title: Security Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team at Accor Hotels. As a Security Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our guests, employees, and hotel property.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and assess hazardous and unsafe situations, making recommendations to management on how to avoid or mitigate these risks.
  • Under the general guidance and supervision of the Assistant Security Manager, ensure the protection of hotel property, employees, and guests, adhering to safety and security procedures.
  • Develop and implement measures to protect workers from injuries and ensure equipment is operated safely.
  • Correct unsafe acts or conditions through regular line of authority, issuing warnings, conducting investigations, and taking disciplinary action when necessary.
  • Ensure all safety regulations are followed, and safety equipment is in good working order.
  • Maintain awareness of active and developing situations, ensuring all personnel's safety and coordinating emergency response efforts.
  • Communicate safety messages to the Incident Command team and ensure the workplace is safe and compliant with health and safety regulations.
  • Investigate accidents, interview witnesses, and gather evidence, ensuring preparation and implementation of the Site Safety and Health Plan (SSHP).
  • Conduct toolbox meetings, lead efforts to enhance safety on the project, and review and approve subcontractors' safety plans.
  • Verify injury logs and reports are completed and submitted to relevant government agencies, ensuring all tools and equipment are adequate and safe for use.
Requirements:
  • At least 2 years' experience in a similar position in a luxury hotel.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written), comprehensive knowledge of health and safety rules and regulations, and observation skills.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality at all times and understand and ability to work in a multicultural environment.
