Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled CSSD Technician to join our team at American Hospital Dubai. As a key member of our Central Sterilization Services Department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Adherence to Hospital Standards: Adhere to American Hospital Dubai's standards, policies, and procedures, as well as departmental standards and procedures.
  • Clinical Competency: Maintain clinical and professional competency based on the latest research and established standards of practice.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Report and document as directed in relevant policies and procedures.
  • Leadership and Teamwork: Demonstrate support of leadership, encourage team decisions, and cooperate with colleagues across departments.
  • Cultural Awareness: Understand and respect cultural differences among customers and colleagues.
  • Facility Management and Safety: Understand the Facility Management and Safety plan.
  • Additional Duties: Perform on-call duties and additional duties as required.
  • Inventory Management: Participate in inventory counts and use supplies in an economical manner.
  • Sterilization and Decontamination: Maintain a high standard of care relating to sterilization and techniques of sterilization, decontaminate surgical instruments manually, and check instruments to ensure they are functioning properly.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of sterilization and decontamination procedures, as well as excellent communication and teamwork skills.
