Accounting Associate - Financial Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Associate - Financial Analyst to join our Public Institutions Finance team at JLL. This is a remote position, and we prefer candidates residing in the Washington DC metro area.

  • Financial Statement Preparation
    • Prepare timely and accurate monthly financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
    • Ensure all account reconciliations are completed in a timely and accurate manner, identifying and resolving any discrepancies or issues.
  • Accounting and Invoicing
    • Responsible for the timely and accurate completion of month-end accruals and journal entries, in accordance with ASC606 reporting requirements and JLL's financial policies.
    • Client invoicing and tracking reimbursable projects, ensuring accurate and timely billing and payment processing.
  • Account Management
    • Ensure the accounts receivable objectives and metrics are met, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction and minimizing bad debt.
    • Oversee maintenance and research on AR over 30 days past due, implementing strategies to reduce delinquencies and improve cash flow.
  • Technical Skills
    • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other spreadsheet applications, with experience in financial modeling and data analysis.
    • Experience using JD Edwards E1, or similar ERP systems, is a plus.
  • Soft Skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with internal stakeholders, including finance teams and business partners.
    • Demonstrated consistency in values, principles, and work ethic, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality results.
    • Ability to work independently and within a team to build relationships and interact effectively with business partners in a geographically dispersed environment.
    • Ability to multi-task, work successfully under pressure, and effectively prioritize and manage time and workload to meet client needs.

  • Education
    • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, with a strong academic record and relevant coursework.
