We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to join our team at Wood, a leading global provider of consulting and operational services to the energy, infrastructure, and real estate sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Detailing: Lead the design and detailing of civil and structural works for oil and gas projects, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Rotating Equipment Design: Develop and implement designs for rotating equipment and dynamic foundations, utilizing STAAD and Foundation Design Suite software.
  • Specification and Design Basis: Create and maintain specification and design basis documents, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Code Compliance: Ensure that designs comply with relevant American codes, standards, regulations, and procedures.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficient in STAAD, Foundation Design Suite, Navisworks, SP3D, E3D, PDS, and PDMS software platforms.
  • Design Calculation: Prepare and maintain design calculations using Excel spreadsheets.
  • Safety and Quality: Achieve safety standards as defined in personal performance contracts and maintain technical quality of work.
  • Change Control: Identify and manage scope and schedule changes in accordance with the Change Control Process.
  • Planning and Cost Control: Maintain planning and cost control on all scopes, providing technical assistance to discipline assigned personnel as required.
  • Technical Development: Stay up-to-date with technical developments, national and international standards, and legislative requirements related to the discipline scope.
  • Communication: Maintain good communication with clients and discipline assigned personnel.
  • Discipline Filing System: Maintain a discipline filing system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date documentation.
  • Lateral Learning: Encourage and provide lateral learning within the project.
