As the Vice President of Sustainability Initiatives at Aldar, you will be at the forefront of driving our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategy. Your leadership will ensure that our sustainability efforts are robust, transparent, and aligned with industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities- ESG Data Strategy: Formulate and oversee Aldar's ESG data strategy and framework, ensuring that all data is comprehensive, precise, and readily available for analysis.
- Data Management System: Lead the ESG data management system, automating reporting processes and providing training to relevant teams for effective utilization.
- Data Analysis: Conduct thorough analyses of ESG data to derive insights that support sustainability-oriented decision-making. Monitor progress against benchmarks and identify areas for improvement.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive enhancements in ESG ratings and disclosures by performing regular assessments to identify gaps and opportunities.
- Risk Management: Establish and maintain Aldar's ESG risk register, actively monitoring and reporting on major risks and compliance issues that may affect the organization.
- Sustainability Reporting: Facilitate both internal and external sustainability reporting by providing reliable ESG data and narratives that address ESG risks and performance metrics.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to address gaps in ESG data and disclosures, fostering a culture of transparency and accountability.
- Compliance Monitoring: Ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and standards pertaining to ESG practices.
- Data Assurance: Lead the assurance process for ESG data in collaboration with assurance providers and internal stakeholders.
- Policy Development: Assist in crafting Aldar's ESG policies, aligning them with leading practices and pertinent ESG ratings.
- Sustainability Certifications: Identify and pursue relevant sustainability certifications for Aldar, ensuring cost-effective attainment and managing corrective actions as necessary.
Experience: A minimum of 8 years in sustainability management, demonstrating a strong track record in the field.
