Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in Tax Project Execution: Collaborate with our engagement team to execute and complete tax projects, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  • Provide Tax Planning and Consulting Services: Offer innovative tax planning, consulting, and compliance expertise to clients, helping them navigate complex tax landscapes and achieve their business objectives.
  • Manage Client Relationships: Work closely with clients to understand their tax needs and develop tailored solutions to meet their requirements.
  • Conduct Tax Due Diligence: Assist in conducting buy-side and sell-side tax due diligence, advising clients on tax-efficient acquisitions and divestments, and reviewing transaction documents.
  • Research and Analyze Tax Issues: Conduct research on tax issues, prepare written communication in a succinct and deal-driven manner, and help clients respond to tax authorities.
  • Monitor Client WIP and Departmental Billings: Ensure timely and accurate monitoring of client work-in-progress (WIP) and contribute positively to departmental billings.
  • Collaborate with Global Colleagues: Work closely with colleagues locally and globally to deliver M&A Tax engagements, sharing knowledge and best practices to drive success.
Requirements
  • Foundational Knowledge of Tax: Possess good foundational knowledge of tax principles and practices.
  • Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Display initiative to solve routine problems and analyze data from various sources.
  • Education and Qualifications: Hold a Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting with a specialization in tax, and be studying towards the CTA/ACCA or an equivalent professional qualification relevant to tax services.
  • Technical Skills: Be comfortable using Microsoft packages and technology.
