Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Associate Acoustic Engineer to join our team at AECOM. As an Associate Acoustic Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting field measurements, noise and vibration measurement surveys, and calculation and assessment of buildings and architectural acoustics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct field measurements to document acoustical data and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Perform noise and vibration measurement surveys to identify and mitigate potential issues.
  • Calculate and assess the acoustical properties of buildings and architectural features.
  • Use computer modeling to predict and optimize acoustical performance.
  • Prepare and review reports to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Manage projects using AECOM's management and accounting system.
  • Attend and participate in project meetings to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's or Bachelor's degree in Acoustics or a closely related field.
  • Membership or Associate Membership in professional organizations such as the Institute of Acoustics (IOA), the Acoustical Society of America (ASA), or the Australian National Committee on Acoustics (ANC).
