About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Field Engineer to join our team at Weatherford. As a Field Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our clients in the oil and gas industry. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide technical support to clients on-site, including testing, repairs, and routine servicing of equipment.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve complex problems.
  3. Develop and implement solutions to improve efficiency and quality of operations.
  4. Conduct daily preventative maintenance and troubleshoot equipment as required.
  5. Assist in time, cost, and labor estimates for completion of job assignments.
  6. Recommend measures to improve methods, performance, and quality to increase efficiency.
  7. Responsible for daily reports, records of events, and proper database management of all well data.
  8. Attend morning meetings and conference calls as necessary.
  9. Write daily and end-of-well reports.
  10. Assist in the rig-up and rig-down of equipment.
  11. Operate and manage a mobile field unit and crew.
  12. Provide reliable, prompt, and courteous service to Weatherford's customers on a 24-hour basis.
  13. Isolate and solve complex problems on the job site with the assistance of our technical support groups.
  14. Understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford.
  15. Participate in personal career development through external and internal technical and non-technical training.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

An undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Petroleum Engineering.Excellent communication skills (both oral and written).Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, judgment, and decision-making skills.A strong work ethic and leadership potential.Proven ability to work in a team environment.Extensive travel both domestically and internationally and extended stays away from home.Willingness to relocate and work in remote locations over several years.Ideal candidates have worked in field-based roles before or during their studies.
