About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive Health & Safety Management system at Transguard worksites, ensuring compliance with International Safety Standards (ISO 45001 & 14001). This position will work closely with the HSE Manager to develop guidelines for the HSE management of operations and standards. The QHSE Officer will provide technical guidance on all Health, Safety, Wellbeing and Environmental matters, identifying and advising on current and future requirements, and ensuring that systems, policies, and processes are in place to prevent incidents and support the continuing development of a HSE culture across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement organizational and client HSE policies and procedures in compliance with ISO 45001:2018, 14001:2015, and any other HSE standard applicable to the work site.
  • Advise the business on health and safety matters and assist them in the implementation of a health and safety management system.
  • Conduct periodic safety inspections for identification of HSE hazards at the workplace or premises and ensure these hazards are minimized by implementing adequate control measures.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable legal requirements pertaining to Health, Safety and Environment. Manage and coordinate all HSE matters related to Business Units in compliance with HSE requirements, e.g., specifications, safety codes, legal requirements, and TG policies and procedures.
  • Carry out regular site visits to the TG accommodations to ensure safety standards are implemented and practiced.
  • Carry out building safety assessments for the TG accommodations.
