We are seeking a skilled Naval Engineer - Hydrostatics and Dynamics Expert to join our team at Global Project Services AG in Sharjah, UAE.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for developing and improving technical skills, expertise, knowledge, procedures, and tools required for proposals and project execution. Key responsibilities include:
- Applying and improving technical skills and expertise in hydrostatics, stability, hydrodynamics, dynamic positioning systems, mooring, and engineering analysis for offshore installations.
- Supporting naval engineering activities and improving quality and efficiency.
The Naval Architect will execute activities within their area of responsibility, ensuring compliance with QA/QC and HSE requirements. Key tasks include:
- Applying acquired competence in naval engineering for technical activities.
- Preparing naval deliverables (procedures, notes, technical reports).
- Developing design capability (stability, hydrostatics, hydrodynamics, hull, mooring, installation engineering, DP).
- Preparing technical documents relevant for requisitions, bid analysis, and PO.
- Preparing feedback dossiers from projects.
- Supporting the Naval Architect Lead to develop excellence in naval engineering.
- Acquiring capability and skill requested to successfully apply state-of-the-art numerical tools for naval department engineering activities.
- Assisting the Naval Architect Lead to implement the process of Lesson Learning.
- Improving technical competence growth of department resources regarding hydrostatics, stability, hydrodynamics, mooring analysis, dynamic positioning system.
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Naval Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in naval engineering, preferably with a focus on hydrostatics and dynamics.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
