Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Research Program Development: Oversee the development and implementation of research programs in Emergency Medicine, including the coordination of research activities and the management of research staff.
  • Collaboration and Partnerships: Work closely with the Emergency Medicine residency program leadership to improve resident training and foster healthy intellectual dialogue.
  • Faculty Engagement: Assist Emergency Medicine staff and faculty in efforts to improve faculty engagement in research and scholarly activities.
  • Research Coordinator Oversight: Provide oversight of the research coordinator position and ensure that research activities are conducted in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Program Maintenance and Improvement: Lead the maintenance and improvement of the research program, including the development of new research initiatives and the evaluation of existing programs.
  • Compliance and Regulatory Affairs: Assist the Emergency Medicine residency program director regarding compliance with RRC regulations.
  • Collaboration with Geisinger Research Team: Work closely with the Geisinger research team to coordinate programs and projects that advance the mission of Emergency Medicine research at Geisinger.
Requirements
  • Education: Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (Required)
  • Certification and License: Licensed Medical Doctor - State of Pennsylvania
  • Skills: Patient Care and Procedural Skills; Systems-Based Practice; Professional Etiquette
