Credit and Finance Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled Credit and Finance Officer to join our Finance Team at The Dubai EDITION. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a challenging role and make a real impact on our business.

Role Overview:

This role is responsible for managing the hotel's credit policy, ensuring timely payment from guests and travel agents, and maintaining accurate financial records.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage the guest ledger, transferring unsettled balances to the City Ledger on a daily basis.
  • Reconcile payments, investigate credit card discrepancies, and address short payments in a timely manner.
  • Respond to guest and travel agent inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Oversee cash collection, reconciliation, and bank deposits to minimize any potential losses.
  • Efficiently process travel agent commissions and shared service account invoices.
  • Accurately write off overdue accounts and reconcile the City Ledger with the General Ledger.
  • Collaborate with departments to resolve invoice errors and disputes.
  • Maintain organized financial reports and documentation.

Requirements:

We require a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance and at least 2 years of experience in hotel accounts receivable in 4 or 5-star hotels in the UAE.

Desirable Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Technical Requirements:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with EMMA, SAP, SUN, and related systems.

The ideal candidate will be able to work independently with minimal supervision and have excellent time management skills.
