Job Summary:

As an Industrial Painter, you will be assisting the Manufacturing of Control valves and associated products, to conform with the specifications, procedure, and certification requirements by various painting methods. This includes De-greasing, masking, Blasting and Painting. This role does not limit only to painting operation but also include periodic maintenance, support to subordinates and problem-solving actions. You will be responsible to liaise with Supervisors & Material Warehouse team.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Equipment Maintenance: Handle equipment and tools with proper care and maintenance (1st level of maintenance)
  2. Process Improvement: Make recommendations to eliminate non-value add in the activities to bring the function under optimum lean conditions.
  3. Safety Compliance: Comply with Emerson safety standards.
  4. Team Safety: Ensure the safety of team working around.
  5. Quality Assurance: Open paint-related safety topics in daily toolbox communications.
  6. Procedure Adherence: Apply procedures which are described in QA Manual.
  7. Product Quality: Make sure the final product is fully in line with work order requirements, prior to completion.
  8. Painting Operations: Degreasing, Masking, Blasting, and painting of valve parts.
  9. Quality Control: Perform paint test and record values as per SOP.
  10. Customer Support: When customer inspection takes place, assist the customer in carrying out final acceptance test upon requirement.
  11. Team Coordination: Coordinate team to enhance 5S and safety improvement activities.
  12. Tool Management: Work with assembly personnel to ensure the completion of paint touch-up activities in a timely manner.
  13. Inventory Management: Timely update tool requirements, repair, and calibration needs.
Requirements:
  • Industrial Paint Experience: The candidate should have knowledge and hands-on experience of Industrial Paint function for a minimum of 3 years.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Control Valves Knowledge: Knowledge of Control Valves paint system.
  • Rotational Shift: Prepared for rotational shift working.
