Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Technician to join our team at Oil and Gas Job Search Ltd. As a key member of our production department, you will be responsible for supporting our manufacturing engineers in various activities, including finalizing tooling for all stators, repairing and maintaining cores for production, and assisting with pushout tests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Tooling and Core Maintenance: Operate overhead cranes to move cores and tooling, perform periodic maintenance of cores, and assemble and disassemble cores as required.
  • Quality Control: Report any abnormalities or variations observed in the manufacturing process to the concerned parties and ensure that tools, gauges, and equipment are maintained properly.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Document and maintain checklists, paper routers, or any ERP system in place.
  • Housekeeping and Safety: Follow 5S requirements, suggest or raise observations on improvements, risk, safety concerns, and good practices, and ensure compliance with all NOV HSE procedures and policies.
  • Technical Skills: Use hand and power tools, interpret tooling drawings, take measurements using vernier callipers/micrometres, and perform basic fitting works (assembly and disassembly of cores).
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Diploma in tool and die making/Diploma in Mold making or equivalent Diploma in Mechanical field, with 0-3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of proper use of measuring tools, gauges, and tools, ability to communicate in English (both writing and orally), and experience in safe use of power tools used in manufacturing industries.
  • Soft Skills: Good mechanical aptitude, understanding of mechanical drawings and procedures, and experience in CAD/AutoCAD.
