Job Title: Quality Specialist

Wood is seeking a highly skilled Quality Specialist to join our team. As a Quality Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards are met in all aspects of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Quality Management: Manage all aspects of quality on assigned projects, including supervising quality personnel, overseeing the implementation of the Project Quality Plan, and acting as primary liaison to clients on all quality-related issues.
  • Quality Awareness: Promote the awareness of quality management principles, including quality and MS inductions, and provide advice and guidance to peers and colleagues.
  • Contract Quality: Coordinate contract quality activities with the Project Manager, including determining resources, establishing primary objectives, and developing the Audit & Surveillance Plan.
  • Quality Planning: Ensure effective quality planning to establish quality budgets, resource the function, and define quality deliverables in line with agreed timeframes.
  • Quality Metrics: Prepare and maintain project Quality metrics to measure performance against established criteria and communicate information to the Construction Manager.
  • Continuous Improvement: Work directly with the Corporate Quality Manager to develop and implement new quality initiatives on assigned contracts and provide feedback on quality issues to ensure continuous improvement initiatives are disseminated to other contracts when applicable.
  • Quality Plan Development: Develop and implement the contract Quality Plan and model discipline ITPs.
  • Procedure Updates: Ensure that project procedures are updated and duly implemented.
  • Quality Control Records: Ensure that Contractors Quality Control records reflect the items in the inspection and test plan with strict adherence to identified 'hold points'.
  • Documentation and Certification: Monitor and ensure that a comprehensive record of documentation and certification of work is maintained to support a satisfactory handover of the completed plant to the Client.
  • Site Audit Schedule: Ownership of the site audit schedule and implementation for construction site operations relating to work practices and procedures.
Qualifications:
  • Education: BS degree in engineering.
  • Experience: Continuous Improvement experience.
  • Certifications: Lead ISO Audit certification.
  • Minimum Requirements: 15 years minimum experience in offshore Engineering Design, Procurement and Construction Management projects.
  • Audit Experience: Minimum of 8 years audit experience (oil and gas required).
  • Skills: Good written, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to interact and communicate with all levels of staff and management, both internal and external.
  • Project Management Skills: Possess excellent project management skills, including managing resources and budget.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work in a team environment and willingness to assume additional or new responsibilities readily.
