Position Overview:
The Logistics Operations Manager will oversee import-related functions, encompassing ocean, air, and customs brokerage activities. This role is crucial in establishing standard operating procedures and ensuring adherence to operational metrics to foster continuous improvement in process flows. Additionally, the manager will provide support to back office operations teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate proficiency in CargoWise software.
- Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience managing a team of at least 5 individuals.
- Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in ocean and air operations.
- Showcase 5 years of pricing experience across ocean, air, intermodal, and domestic trucking sectors.

Essential Qualifications:
- 10 years of experience in the international freight forwarding industry.
- Extensive knowledge of air and ocean import processes.
- Strong understanding of customs brokerage procedures.
- Ability to support back office staff effectively.
- Demonstrated staff management and training capabilities.
- Comprehensive knowledge of US markets, including rail, ports, and domestic transportation carriers.
- Experience collaborating with a global network of offices and agents.
- Established experience in creating standard operating procedures and metrics.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Desirable Skills:
- 5 years of experience in international import freight forwarding.
- Fluency in English.
- Experience with client payments, cash in advance, COD, POD, and problem resolution.
Other Required Skills:
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Outstanding customer service abilities.
- Client interface experience to assist in closing and implementing new business.
- A continuous improvement mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented approach to tasks.
- Experience in claims management and carrier relations.

- Knowledge of customs house brokerage release monitoring.
