We are seeking an experienced Senior Waste Management Specialist to join our team in the Middle East. In this critical role, you will lead the design and implementation of innovative waste management solutions for clients across the region.
Responsibilities:- Develop and oversee the design of complex waste management systems including solid waste, wastewater, and recycling facilities.
- Conduct detailed environmental impact assessments and ensure compliance with local and international regulations.
- Lead project teams in the planning and monitoring of waste management projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize waste management processes and improve resource recovery.
- Analyze data and create models to forecast waste generation and management needs.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to the team.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in waste management and environmental engineering.
- Prepare comprehensive reports, technical specifications, and project documentation.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license required.
- Certified Environmental Professional (CEP) certification preferred.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in waste management engineering.
- Proven track record in designing and implementing waste management solutions.
- Advanced knowledge of waste management systems and technologies.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and GIS (Geographic Information Systems).
- Strong understanding of environmental regulations and compliance.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis and modeling software.
- Experience in conducting environmental impact assessments.
- Expertise in solid waste management, wastewater treatment, recycling, and resource recovery.
- Knowledge of landfill design and management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
