Job Title: Senior Civil Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Engineer to join our team at Wood. As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the design and detailing of civil and structural works for oil and gas projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and detailing of civil and structural works for oil and gas projects
  • Specialize in concrete, structural steel, underground drainage, and layout design and drawing detailing
  • Have hands-on experience in SP3D and experience in Navisworks / SPR / E3D / PDS / PDMS platform
  • Efficiently handle a team of engineers and designers
  • Experience in project schedule and manhour planning
  • Knowledge in project specification, US codes, and project design basis
  • Working knowledge in Greenfield & Brownfield projects
  • Ensure that works comply with the American codes and Standards
  • Experience on preparation of MTO, review of other discipline vendor data, contractor submittals
  • Be responsible for assessing effectiveness of working practices and systems with a view to continuously improving systems, personal and team performance
  • Carry out work in accordance with Wood and project Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems
  • Maintain the required technical quality of work
  • Identify scope and schedule changes in accordance with the Change Control Process
  • Maintain planning on all work scopes
  • Provide technical assistance to discipline assigned personnel as required
  • Ensure, as far as practically possible, that all assigned work is carried out in compliance with the agreed schedule
  • Keep up to date with technical developments
  • Review, prepare, check work output of discipline assigned personnel
  • Prepare estimates and assist in their review
  • Maintain good communication with the team and client
  • Maintain discipline filing system
  • Encourage and provide lateral learning within the project
Qualifications:
  • Minimum Degree Engineering in civil/structural
  • Minimum 8-14 years' experience in the oil and gas industry
  • Preferably Brownfield Iraq Project experience
