Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical/Civil Engineer to join our team at Parsons Oman. As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you will play a key role in leading infrastructure projects that shape the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise ground improvement works at site and manage different ground improvement subcontractors.
  • Manage earthworks and slope stabilization works.
  • Prepare project specifications for geotechnical and geophysical studies and site investigations.
  • Evaluate sub surface conditions through study of bore log data & lab results.
  • Prepare and review Geotechnical factual and Interpretative Reports (GIRs).
  • Complete assignments such as drawings, specifications, and other materials suitable for procurement and construction purposes.
  • Prepare material quality takeoffs, estimates, surveys, and designs including specifications.
  • Prepare and issue specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents.
  • Provide technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers, and lower level Engineers working on the same project.
  • Prepare detailed requisitions for equipment and materials.
  • Specify and interpret Geotechnical instrumentation and monitoring.
  • Maintain affiliation with professional societies to stay current with technologies.
  • Recommend and prepare technical papers.
  • Be willing to travel or relocate to supplier, client, or construction site locations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
  • Minimum 10+ years of related work experience in infrastructure projects.
  • Potential to perform in a lead capacity, excellent written and oral communications skills, and familiarity with industry practices and regulations.
  • Thorough knowledge of current technology and recent geotechnical applications and technologies.
