Sales Professional

Job Purpose: Achieve assigned portfolio revenue targets while supporting the overall country plan and commercial objectives by ensuring the line of business position in the market is protected. Source new business and maintain existing relationships while planning, managing, and implementing sales and marketing activities within the assigned portfolio of corporate and travel agencies within designated work areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and recommend promotional action plans focused on meeting revenue targets within account portfolios.
- Participate in planning sessions, providing constructive feedback and customer insights to identify new opportunities and challenges.
Performance Metrics:
- Review and monitor sales strategies in the territory, providing recommendations to ensure the line of business is competitively positioned.
- Coordinate the distribution of quality marketing and promotional collateral and material.
Leadership and Collaboration:
- Work closely with supporting sales teams and business units to exploit business opportunities objectively and effectively.
- Gather and analyze competitor intelligence and market trends to support management in refining sales and business strategies.
Results and Reporting:
- Achieve and exceed revenue and passenger targets within allocated areas of work to support business growth objectives.
- Execute and monitor incentive programs with travel trade and corporate houses within established guidelines.
- Provide regular reviews and reports with sales and financial data, offering feedback and recommendations to the Sales Manager.
Qualifications and Experience:
- 12 years of schooling or equivalent.
- More than 5 years of experience in commercial sales.
- Sales experience in the travel or airline industry.
- Experience in the travel agency/GDS/airline industry, including 5 years in outdoor sales and marketing capacity.
- Sabre GDS user knowledge would be an advantage.
- Current experience and knowledge of travel trade distribution essential.
- Experience and knowledge of the travel trade and corporate sector essential.
- Strong customer service presentation and negotiation skills required.
- Computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Valid UAE driver's license.
- Willingness to work after hours and weekends when necessary.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
