Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sustainability Manager to assist in the development and implementation of sustainability projects and action plans to support our sustainability strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Decarbonization Projects: Develop and implement projects to reduce Etihad's operations' environmental impact, either through emission reduction or other methods.
  • Waste Management: Develop and implement projects to encourage waste management practices in accordance with our waste management strategy and action plans.
  • Performance Metrics: Assist in developing metrics to measure project performance over time.
  • Internal Communication: Develop and manage internal communication tools and update them regularly.
  • Awareness Programs: Coordinate internal awareness programs and forums.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Assist with communication with external stakeholders and support efforts to promote Etihad as a thought leader in sustainability.
  • Environmental Support: Assist and support the Head/Senior Manager of Sustainability on environmental matters.
  • Industry Trends: Maintain awareness and subject matter expertise related to industry trends and develop sustainability-related reporting and initiatives.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Maintain familiarity with industry frameworks, regulations, and standards.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in sustainability or an aviation-linked discipline.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience, with 2-3 years in driving and project managing sustainability/change/strategic projects, preferably in the Aviation/Transportation/Energy domain.
  • Commercial Experience: Experience within a commercial, regulated entity.
  • Project Management: Strong project management experience and innovative mindset.
  • Collaboration: Ability to collaborate and engage with a wider stakeholder network, including internal and external authorities/industry partners.
