Position Overview:
This role is integral to the Technology Communications & Outreach (TCO) team within our Technology Oversight & Coordination (TOC) organization. The TCO team is dedicated to enhancing stakeholder engagement through effective communication strategies.

The Event Coordinator and Engagement Specialist will spearhead initiatives aimed at promoting stakeholder involvement, particularly concerning sustainability technologies. This role will be pivotal in planning and executing events and public relations campaigns that align with the goals of the Technology Oversight and Coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate global workshops, events, and conferences focused on sustainability and climate innovations.
  • Develop comprehensive annual plans for events and branding initiatives targeting both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Facilitate visits with key stakeholders, including universities and relevant organizations.
  • Manage relationships with agencies, defining scopes of work and supervising project execution.
  • Support corporate communication strategies and initiatives.
  • Establish an internal communication governance framework with regular strategic and tactical reviews.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of marketing strategies and initiatives.
  • Create marketing campaigns and brand materials, supervising external consultants and vendors.
  • Ensure consistent brand messaging and resource management.
  • Conduct thorough market research to inform data-driven marketing strategies.
  • Enhance organizational growth through content marketing and demand generation efforts.
  • Develop a strategic calendar for external events to boost awareness and opportunities.
  • Manage a centralized events calendar for email campaigns, overseeing all phases from creative development to analysis.
  • Collaborate with external agencies for promotional events and campaigns.
  • Coordinate with marketing professionals to ensure smooth event execution.
  • Plan initiatives to effectively reach target audiences through various channels.

Qualifications:

  • Relocation to the specified location is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Strategic Communications, Public Affairs, Journalism, Media, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in event management.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively and independently.
  • Experience in strategic communication and public affairs for at least 3 years.
  • Strong analytical skills to navigate complex challenges.
  • Demonstrated integrity, confidence, and collaborative spirit.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a high level of emotional intelligence.
