Job Overview
The Senior Copywriter plays a key role in our creative team, responsible for developing big ideas that bring campaigns to life. This position requires a unique blend of creative vision, strategic thinking, and strong communication skills.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop strategic conceptual thinking and high-quality copywriting across all brand channels, including print, ecommerce, digital, social media, product, naming, and more.
- Lead, mentor, and direct at least one other copywriter to ensure the brand's tone, vision, and direction stay on course while fostering their career growth.
- Provide new creative thinking and high-level storytelling across all agency needs, including integrated campaigns, print ads, mailers, postcards, website assets, landing pages, emails, digital banners, social media, and more.
- Present own ideas and rationale for writing, concepts, and creative in a compelling and persuasive manner, both internally and externally.
- Demonstrate organized thinking by presenting work in a clear and effective manner.
- Collaborate with the ECD, Creative Director, ACD, Art Directors, production, and marketing team as needed to achieve brand/marketing objectives.
- Develop verbal campaign elements using scripts, headlines, copy, and more.
- Brainstorm ideas with Planning, Account Management, and creative teams to assist in creating and developing concepts.
- Offer creative ideas that align with client needs.
- Gain an understanding of clients' business, brands, and consumers.
- Supervise and train junior members of the Creative team.
Main Tasks:
Technical & Product:
- Write persuasive and engaging copy for technical and product-focused campaigns, including digital ads, print ads, web content, email marketing, social media, and product descriptions.
- Collaborate with creative directors and other team members to brainstorm innovative ideas that effectively communicate product features and benefits.
- Maintain and develop a consistent brand voice across all content, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and tone.
- Edit copy to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency, and remove grammatical and spelling errors.
Business Acumen & Operational Efficiency:
- Able to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Experience working in a creative team environment.
- Ability to lead and direct other copywriters.
- Able to present own work successfully.
- Showcase a fun-loving attitude and pride in creating and selling great work.
Innovative & Analytical Mindset:
- Stay current with the latest communication trends through basic research.
