Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure and manage Sybase databases to ensure optimal performance and availability
  • Respond to system and performance alerts 24x7 to ensure minimal downtime
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as patching, to ensure database stability
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Database Platform Administrators, System Administrators, and Application Support teams, to maintain system availability targets
  • Manage database servers using a mixture of ISQL, AQT, and DBArtisan tools
  • Implement and maintain database replication to provide high availability and failover capability for disaster recovery scenarios

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Database Administrator, preferably with Sybase databases
  • Strong knowledge of database configuration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting
