This role involves managing receivables, mitigating credit risk, and driving continuous improvement in debt ageing. The successful candidate will also develop and maintain relationships with client organizations, uphold data protection and confidentiality, and resolve queries around expected timing for better cash flow.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and mitigate credit risk to maintain a healthy financial portfolio.
  2. Drive continuous improvement in debt ageing, resulting in better cash flow and reduced BDP risks.
  3. Develop and maintain relationships with client organizations to facilitate accurate receipt forecasting and collections.
  4. Uphold the highest level of data protection and confidentiality towards all stakeholders.
  5. Resolve queries around expected timing for better cash flow.
  6. Ensure adherence to credit policy and maintain a robust legal process as per regional laws.
  7. Ensure reconciliation of SOAs on an ongoing basis and timely allocation of receipts.
  8. Timely take actions on SOAs and receipts when requested.
  9. Increase frequency of SOAs and establish a strong follow-up process to aid collections.
  10. Implement procedures for overdue payments to collect balances.
  11. Handle disputed accounts, liaise with Client Manager, and negotiate to bring payment in line with terms.
  12. Lead discussions with Partners, Client Managers, and Banks to ensure smooth progress.
  13. Maintain the lead for integration and system migration as and when required.
  14. Establish appropriate credit limits, constantly review, and maintain credit limits of existing customers.
  15. Liaise with the wider finance team and provide required information to statutory and internal auditors.
  16. Monthly receivables aging report of group policies to be submitted to Finance Operation Lead.
  17. Supporting with all additional and ad hoc reports as and when required by the management.
  18. Review, control, and reconciliation of receivables to Balance Sheet on a monthly basis.
  19. Reviewing bank reconciliation and ensuring all funds applied to policies and monitoring accurate allocation of payments to avoid disputes between client's books.
  20. Understanding thoroughly in-house software to enhance day-to-day tasks.
  21. Timely completion of all mandatory internal educational courses as per due dates.
  22. Thorough understanding of AML & Compliance process as per Cigna standards to avoid risks.
  23. Fully follow office cultures to avoid any escalations and participate in office engagements.
  24. Prepare to accept additional responsibilities as and when required or team members away.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  2. 5 years plus working experience in insurance industry in UAE.
  3. Must have strong experience in credit control & process.
  4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  5. Good understanding of MS Office, especially Excel skills.
