Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with leading-edge operating systems and network application technologies.
  • Collaborate with public cloud providers and network silicon manufacturers.
  • Design and implement superior software-defined networking solutions tailored for modern hardware platforms.
  • Develop high-quality, well-structured, and thoroughly documented software.
  • Contribute to innovative product strategies that drive our mission forward.
  • Identify and resolve issues, delivering high-quality code solutions.
  • Work collaboratively with a globally distributed team.
  • Enhance technical documentation to ensure it meets the highest standards.
  • Exhibit technical leadership within the organization and in open-source communities.
  • Influence and contribute to open-source projects and initiatives.
  • Shape software-defined networking products to accommodate evolving data center architectures and increasing demands for bandwidth, reliability, security, and interoperability.

Candidate Profile

  • Outstanding academic performance from high school through university.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related STEM field, or a compelling alternative background.
  • Proven track record of exceeding expectations and a strong drive for excellence.
  • In-depth knowledge of networking principles, architecture, design, and protocols.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Linux networking, from kernel to user space.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Golang, C/C++, Rust, or Python.
  • Fluent in professional written and spoken English.
  • Experience with Linux distributions, preferably Debian or Ubuntu.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, along with curiosity, adaptability, and accountability.
  • A passion for technology, thoughtful problem-solving, and self-motivation.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation abilities.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a commitment to meeting objectives.
  • Willingness to travel for company events as required.

Desirable Additional Skills

  • Familiarity with existing open-source networking technologies, including kernel components and various networking stacks.
  • Understanding of data path hardware acceleration protocols and interfaces.
  • Knowledge of computer architecture, including x86, ARM, and RISC-V.
  • Experience in complex IP network engineering and implementation.
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as QEMU and KVM.
  • Previous contributions to open-source projects and community engagement.
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes and cloud-native networking functions.
  • Experience in performance engineering and security.
