Job Overview

The Sr. Quality Assurance Lead plays a critical role in ensuring the highest level of quality in our products and services. This includes providing consultation related to the organization, administration, and control of all quality assurance functions, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations, and maintaining the Quality Management System/Framework.

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional with a proven track record in quality management, who can lead our quality team and drive business growth through improved quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide consultation related to the organization, administration, and control of all quality assurance functions.
  • Ensure outgoing quality, safety, and efficacy of all material and finished products manufactured; and overall compliance with all applicable regulations.
  • Establish, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System/Framework.
  • Develop the quality vision, mission, systems, and processes needed to support overall strategy goals.
  • Ensure compliance of quality plans for manufacturing and quality control operations.
  • Issue a "QA veto" to the Production Manager or Project Manager if there is a major non-conformity in the product/process quality.
  • Submit periodic appraisal reports of the quality department to HR/Admin and weekly/monthly/quarterly reports to GM.
  • Prepare and submit the yearly department budget and control within approved limits.
  • Advise management on status, risk, and recommend improvements to quality to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Develop, lead, and execute long-term and short-term quality strategies and plans.
  • Manage quality staff, develop and maintain training and development programs.
  • Plan, develop, and manage programs that monitor, predict, or regulate the manufacturing process.
  • Represent the company during Federal/Military inspections.
  • Ensure all incoming materials and finished products meet specifications for release to production.
  • Validate newly procured equipment, processes, systems, and facility changes that impact quality.
  • Maintain a calibration program for all equipment and measuring devices used in manufacturing.
  • Review, approve, and maintain all documentation required for batch and system records.
  • Evaluate and solve product and process problems.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory agency and corporate requirements.
  • Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformities.
  • Verify implementation of solutions and corrective actions taken.
  • Control further processing, delivery, or installation of nonconforming products until deficiencies are corrected.
  • Keep historical information of all sold products.
  • Staff and direct the HSE Department, including management of all Safety representatives.
  • Develop an annual budget and implement recommendations.
  • Direct resources and activities to support OSHE programs.
  • Review and finalize internal OSHE policies and practices.
  • Act as Management Representative for OSHAD.
  • Ensure adequate budget and resources for OSH management.
  • Implement and monitor effectiveness of risk management programs.
  • Ensure appropriate hazard and incident investigations.
  • Regularly discuss OSH issues at meetings of departments or senior management.
  • Ensure provision of OSH information, training, and supervision.
  • Ensure appropriate emergency procedures are developed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering is preferred.
  • 15 years' experience as a successful and progressive Quality Management/Quality Assurance Manager.
  • Trained in Leadership Management, Organization Leadership & Management of Projects.
  • Corporative Management & Control, Assessment of Risk Project Execution & an IRCA Lead Auditor is a strong asset.
  • Previous experience in designing, developing, establishing, and implementing Quality Management Systems (QMS) based on ISO 9001-2008 and ISO 17021.
  • Strong expertise in statistical methodologies in Quality Management Tools.
  • Ability to build a data-driven performance-based culture focused on enhancing customer value.
  • Experience leading a quality improvement transformation.
  • Ability to apply lean principles to processes and stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fundamental training in QMS and implementation of a QMS in previous employment is essential.
