Front Office Administrator

Key Responsibilities
The Clinical Operations Associate will be responsible for:
- Registration Process Efficiency: Ensure timely and accurate registration of all outpatients, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to hospital policies.
- Patient Identification and Verification: Verify patient identity documents, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Insurance Eligibility Confirmation: Confirm patients' insurance eligibility for approval.
- Service Scheduling and Coordination: Schedule, reschedule, cancel, and confirm outpatient and medical services as needed.
- Cash Collection and Handling: Collect payment from patients, including cash, deductibles, co-insurance, and co-payments, according to insurance and/or Statement of Benefits (SOB).
- Interdepartmental Collaboration: Collaborate with nursing and other departments to address patient inquiries.
- Service Delays Notification: Inform patients about delays in diagnostic or treatment services.
- Proper Directing and Guiding: Direct patients to the correct clinics or areas.
- Document Submission and Management: Submit documents related to cash collection and refunds to the Chief Cashier.
- Record Maintenance and Reporting: Maintain accurate records for authentication purposes, reporting to the Billing Supervisor.
- Cash Reconciliation and Deposit: Perform daily cash and credit card reconciliations, and report any discrepancies to the Chief Cashier, followed by depositing collected cash into the Main Cash Box.
- Rectification Support and Coordination: Provide support for rectification of documents and reports requested by the Back Office Claims Submission Team.
- Training Assistance and Development: Assist in training new employees as directed by the supervisor.
- Insurance Protocol Knowledge: Possess knowledge of insurance protocols.
- Pre-authorization Coordination and Support: Work with the insurance department and clinic for pre-authorization of services.
- Basic Medical Terminology Familiarity: Familiarity with basic medical terminology, limited to front office operations.
