Job Overview

The Inventory Control Associate will play a key role in ensuring the seamless operation of our cinema sites across all territories. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the site inventory, optimizing inventory levels, and implementing cost control measures to minimize losses and variances.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain current inventory levels, process purchase orders as required, track the orders, and investigate issues if any.
  • Random check on receiving, unpacking, re-stock items, label shelves.
  • Record purchase, transfer, and wastage in Fusion on a daily basis.
  • Perform physical stock take of inventory and reconcile actual stock with the recorded in fusion.
  • Investigate and validate physical stock take variance, and report it to F&B Manager, citing reasons and action taken.
  • Validate all process of inventory transactions ensuring alignment within the inventory control department and perform quality control on data.
  • Monitor day to day tasks related to inventory transaction in cinemas.
  • Ensure proper implementations of policies and procedures.
  • Investigate and analyze anomalies gathered from vista and operations, in order to collaborate with F&B Manager for solutions.
  • Create vista items forms for both new items and modifications for existing items. Share the form with F&B manager while keeping the cinema manager informed.
  • Monitor the historical stock levels, and accordingly set up the par stock levels for each item, to be updated in vista/fusion.
  • Work closely with IT to resolve interface issues related to inventory.

Cost Control

  • Support the F&B Manager to control and minimize losses and decreases variances.
  • Liaise with cinemas operations, chefs, admin, procurement as required on matters pertaining of items, recipes, GRN, transfers and wastages.
  • Conduct spot checking, expiry date checking and audit recipes.
  • Analyze the wastage and stock adjustments and suggest actions to minimize them.

Reporting

  • Periodically update Cinema managers, Operations Managers and F&B Manager with reports such as stock adjustments, stock receipts, stock transfers, stock wastage, historical stock valuation report, Historical stock variance report and concession items sale report.
  • Share with F&B Manager, Cinema Manager and Operations Managers the stock take review reports, explaining reasons for discrepancies, if any.
