Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Steward to join our team at Stallion On Demand Labour Supply. As a Steward, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Setting Tables

Our ideal candidate will be responsible for cleaning and setting tables, including placing seasonal decorations, candles, and tablecloths. This will involve ensuring that all tables are clean and well-presented, and that our customers have a pleasant dining experience.

Welcoming Customers

The successful candidate will be responsible for welcoming customers, seating them, serving them water or refilling their glasses, and delivering beverages from the bartender. This will involve providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that our customers feel welcome and valued.

Menu Management

Our Steward will be responsible for keeping menus clean and presenting them to customers. This will involve ensuring that all menus are clean and well-presented, and that our customers have access to the information they need to make informed decisions about their meal.

Stocking and Assisting Wait Staff

The successful candidate will be responsible for stocking wait staff serving stations with napkins, utensils, trays, and condiments, and assisting the wait staff with all aspects of service. This will involve working closely with our wait staff to ensure that they have everything they need to provide exceptional customer service.

Clearing Tables and Preparing for Next Customers

Our Steward will be responsible for clearing tables and preparing them for the next customers. This will involve ensuring that all tables are clean and well-presented, and that our customers have a pleasant dining experience.

Assisting with Cleaning and Opening/Closing Tasks

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with cleaning and opening or closing tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and polishing the restaurant, bar, kitchen, and equipment. This will involve working closely with our cleaning team to ensure that our restaurant is clean and well-maintained.

Washing Dishes and Equipment

Our Steward will be responsible for scraping food from dirty dishes, pots, pans, plates, flatware, and glasses, washing dirty dishes, and putting them away. This will involve ensuring that all dishes and equipment are clean and well-maintained, and that our customers have access to clean and hygienic facilities.

Transporting Linen

The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting used linen to or from the laundry or housekeeping section. This will involve working closely with our laundry and housekeeping teams to ensure that our linen is clean and well-maintained.

Requirements
  • Excellent Communication Skills
