We are seeking an exceptional Sous Chef to join our team at the Client of REEQWEST HR Consultancy Solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in culinary arts, excellent leadership abilities, and experience in managing kitchen staff and coordinating food orders.

Responsibilities:

Main Duties:

  1. Lebanese restaurants experience is a must
  2. Supervise food prep and cooking
  3. Check food plating and temperature
  4. Establish portion sizes
  5. Price menu items in collaboration with the Restaurant Manager
  6. Order food supplies and kitchen equipment, as needed
  7. Train kitchen staff on prep work and food plating techniques
  8. Store food products in compliance with safety practices (e.g. in refrigerators)
  9. Keep weekly and monthly cost reports
  10. Maintain sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen area

Requirements:

  1. Proven work experience as a Kitchen, sous chef or Head Chef
  2. Hands-on experience with planning menus and ordering ingredients
  3. Knowledge of a wide range of recipes
  4. Familiarity with kitchen sanitation and safety regulations
  5. Excellent organizational skills
  6. Conflict management abilities
  7. Ability to manage a team in a fast-paced work environment
  8. Flexibility to work during evenings and weekends
  9. Certification from a culinary school or degree in Restaurant Management is a plus
