Procurement Strategy:

  1. Oversee the procurement of raw materials, components, and other supplies essential to the plastic manufacturing process (e.g. polymers, additives, resins).
  2. Maintain a database of suppliers and vendors, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.

Purchase Order Management:

  1. Prepare and process purchase orders based on production requirements and inventory levels.
  2. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials to avoid production delays.

Supplier Relationship Management:

  1. Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and negotiate terms of contracts and pricing to achieve favorable conditions for the company.

Inventory Control and Planning:

  1. Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the inventory team to ensure an adequate supply of materials.
  2. Work with production teams to forecast material requirements and plan procurement accordingly.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  1. Ensure all procurement activities are compliant with company policies and industry regulations.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Materials Management, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in the plastic manufacturing or manufacturing industry.
  3. Experience working with raw materials like plastics, resins, polymers, additives or similar materials is a plus.
  4. Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers.
  5. Good understanding of procurement processes and inventory management.
  6. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  7. Knowledge of procurement software or ERP systems is preferred (e.g. SAP, Oracle, etc.).
