Food and Beverage Accounting Team Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting Team Lead to join our team at Al Khayma Heritage Restaurant. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading, mentoring, and developing a team of accounting professionals within the food and beverage department.
Key Responsibilities- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals within the food and beverage department.
- Task Assignment and Delegation: Assign tasks and responsibilities, ensuring effective delegation and team collaboration.
- Performance Evaluations: Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and support career development within the team.
- Financial Statement Preparation: Oversee the preparation, analysis, and reporting of financial statements for the food and beverage department.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop, implement, and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
- Financial Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable: Supervise the management of accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing and reconciliation.
- Invoice and Payment Review: Review and approve invoices, payments, and financial transactions for accuracy and compliance.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain and update general ledger accounts, ensuring accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Cost Control: Implement and monitor cost control measures to optimize profitability and reduce waste.
- Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data, including food and beverage costs, pricing, and margins, to drive business decisions.
- Financial Reporting: Provide detailed financial reports and insights to senior management, highlighting areas for improvement.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the accounting operations.
- Industry Trends and Best Practices: Stay updated on industry trends, accounting practices, and regulatory changes to ensure best practices are followed.
- Interdepartmental Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement and operations, to streamline financial processes.
- Financial Reporting and Audits: Ensure timely and accurate submission of financial reports, including month-end and year-end close processes. Coordinate with external auditors and prepare documentation for audits as required.
- Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations and financial reporting standards.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Three years of experience as an Accounts Team Leader or in a similar role within the food and beverage industry.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and cost control. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
