About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled MEP Engineer with expertise in HVAC systems to join our team at Duncan & Ross. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, planning, and overseeing the installation, operation, and maintenance of HVAC systems for various construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Planning: Prepare HVAC system designs, drawings, and specifications for various projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and local regulations.
  • Project Management: Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other MEP disciplines to ensure integrated design solutions, and supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of HVAC systems on-site.
  • Quality Assurance: Review and approve contractor submittals, shop drawings, and material selections, and conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with design, quality, and safety standards.
  • Troubleshooting and Technical Support: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to HVAC systems during construction and post-construction phases, and coordinate with suppliers and vendors for HVAC equipment procurement and delivery.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare technical reports, documentation, and as-built drawings, and ensure all work complies with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as an MEP Engineer specializing in HVAC systems.
  • Skills: Proficient in HVAC design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit MEP, HAP), strong knowledge of HVAC system components, design, and installation techniques, and familiarity with local and international HVAC standards and codes.
  • Personal Qualities: Excellent project management, communication, and problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
