Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at Parsons Corporation. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing MEP submittals, ensuring compliance with design requirements and project plans, and collaborating with engineers and technicians to design and apply new system processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and ensure compliance of MEP infrastructure and street lighting works with design requirements and project plans.
  • Identify non-conforming work or materials and notify the contractor.
  • Collaborate with engineers and technicians to design and apply new system processes.
  • Monitor maintenance and inspection plans and implement corrective and preventive measures.
  • Inspect work performed by contractors to ensure compliance with contract documents and accepted practices.
  • Report to the Resident Engineer and assist in supervising construction of landscaping works and associated items.
  • Coordinate activities with other engineers and members of the construction supervision team.
  • Assist the Resident Engineer in reviewing shop drawings, design proposals, and method statements.
  • Coordinate with Parsons' design engineers to resolve related issues.
  • Convene and chair special technical meetings with service authorities, contractors, and other parties related to electrical work.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of records.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports.
  • Act positively and participate in all health and safety issues at site.
  • Provide on-site direction and assist the Resident Engineer in issuing site instructions.
  • Ensure correctness and completeness of 'as-built' drawings.

Requirements

  • University BSc Degree in Engineering with a minimum of 10 years' experience and 5 years' experience in specific infrastructure and street lighting works.
  • Proficient experience in electrical engineering on street lighting projects involving design and construction of electrical systems.
  • Experience in factory acceptance and other testing and commissioning activities of these systems.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Proven ability to perform key technical roles.
  • Registered as a practicing Engineer in Abu Dhabi or having an equivalency certificate issued by the Ministry of Education.
