We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our port and cargo operations in Dubai, UAE.
Job Overview:The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the efficient management of port and cargo operations, ensuring seamless stowage planning, vessel, and transshipment processes for the Middle East and Africa regions.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and coordinate vessel and terminal operations to ensure timely and cost-effective cargo handling.
- Ensure all cargo is processed in accordance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with subcontractors to ensure they operate in compliance with our requirements.
- Focus on process optimization and continuous improvement to enhance operational efficiency.
- Accountable for meeting budgetary targets and ensuring all invoices related to port calls are paid in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with shippers, customers, surveyors, and port authority officials to facilitate the import and export of shipments.
- Manage vessel load lists, manifests, hazardous paperwork, and fumigation lists with port authorities, stevedores, vendors, and freight forwarders.
- Coordinate cut-off dates with freight forwarders, approve late gates, and resolve any supply chain disruptions.
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field.
- Experience: 5-10 years of experience in a related field.
