**Business Performance Analyst**

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Performance Analyst to join our team at Shangri-La Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting complex financial data to inform business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Performance Monitoring: Monitor and measure the financial performance of our regions, identifying areas of strength and weakness.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Deliver actionable monthly and quarterly reports to senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Data Analysis: Use data and reports generated by various systems to complete thorough analyses of operating results, trends, and variations in results versus expectations.
  • Process Improvement: Identify gaps and shortfalls in our processes and develop recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaboration: Partner with hotel leadership to identify performance gaps and present findings to senior leadership.
  • Market Research: Conduct market research on trends and major economic indicators to inform business decisions.
  • Information Gathering: Research and collect information from various sources relating to market data, historical cycles, travel and tourism trends, and market dynamics.
  • Dashboard Maintenance: Maintain dashboards and other tools used in data analysis.
  • Results Presentation: Generate and provide accurate and timely results in the form of reports, presentations, and other materials.
  • Problem-Solving: Assist in analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in a quantitative discipline (finance, computer science, operations research, economics, mathematics, statistics, etc.).
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years' related work experience.
  • Language: Proficiency in English is required (speaking, reading, and writing).
  • Technical Skills: Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are required. At least one of the following skills is also required: statistical analysis software skills, business intelligence and reporting software skills, data visualization skills. Tableau or Power BI experience is preferred.
