Job Description

Wood is seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil/Structural Engineer to join our team in the UAE.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead the design and detailing of civil and structural works for oil and gas projects, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
  2. Develop and implement design specifications and basis, utilizing expertise in rotating equipment and dynamic foundation design.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective project execution, safety standards, and quality control.
  4. Utilize STAAD and Foundation Design Suite software for analysis and design, and possess hands-on experience with Navisworks/SP3D/E3D/PDS/PDMS platforms.
  5. Prepare and review design calculations, and maintain accurate records and documentation.
  6. Develop and implement processes to improve working practices, safety standards, and team performance.
  7. Ensure compliance with Wood's Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality Systems.
  8. Maintain technical expertise and stay up-to-date with industry developments, national and international standards, and legislative requirements.
Requirements
  1. Engineering degree in civil or structural engineering.
  2. Minimum 10 years of post-graduate experience, with a minimum of 8 years in the oil and gas industry.
  3. Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior civil/structural engineer role.
