Key Responsibilities
- Technical Expertise:
- Develop in-depth knowledge of assigned equipment (such as pumps and compressors).
- Collaborate with the Procurement Head to establish specific equipment requirements and identify preferred suppliers, ensuring that decisions are made with adequate risk management.
- Tender and Project Management:
- Prepare comprehensive technical bid documents based on process datasheets, client requirements, and industry standards for assigned regional tenders.
- Lead the defined technical equipment specifications in conjunction with the tender team.
- Identify and engage with appropriate suppliers, maintaining communication with selected vendors and planning audits as necessary.
- Project Oversight:
- Review dedicated equipment specifications for regional projects.
- Ensure that the defined technical equipment specifications meet project criteria.
- Verify specifications, datasheets, technical bids, and purchase orders, addressing technical inquiries from suppliers.
- Plan and participate in all necessary project inspections.
- Equipment Innovation:
- Act as a Project Manager, coordinating efforts across all disciplines.
- Enhance equipment technology to improve performance while reducing manufacturing costs, CO2 emissions, and energy consumption.
- Certification and Quality Assurance:
- Oversee the initial electrical certification of equipment.
- Monitor equipment certification renewals and stay updated on the evolution of electrical norms and certifications.
- Provide technical support for equipment fabrication quality processes, including conducting internal quality audits and leading quality initiatives.
- Client and Project Engagement:
- Deliver timely and high-quality responses to clients and profit centers in commercial projects.
- Identify and address issues and discrepancies in work processes, offering suggestions for improvement.
- Industry Acumen:
- Maintain a robust understanding of industry standards and the competitive landscape for assigned equipment.
Qualifications
- BSc or MSc degree in Electrical Engineering (required)
- 10+ years of relevant industry experience (required)
Experience
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in drafting specifications, conducting equipment selections, performing studies, managing requisitions, evaluating technical bids, and reviewing vendor documentation (required)
