Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Relocation Planning: Collaborate with the IT department to develop a comprehensive plan for equipment relocation, taking into account data security, functionality, and cabling needs.
  • Packing and Handling: Carefully pack and secure equipment for transport using anti-static materials and appropriate packing techniques, ensuring proper coiling and organization of cables.
  • Cable Management: Disconnect and reconnect electronic cables meticulously, following established procedures and maintaining proper labeling for easy reassembly.
  • Transportation and Setup: Load, unload, and transport equipment safely, ensuring protection from damage during the move. Set up equipment at the new location, following established procedures and ensuring proper functionality, including cable management for optimal performance.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Conduct basic functionality tests on equipment to ensure proper operation after relocation.
  • Documentation: Maintain clear and accurate documentation throughout the relocation process, including cable layouts and connections.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in IT support or a related field.
  • Knowledge: Working knowledge of common computer hardware, peripherals, and network cabling systems.
  • Skills: Experience with proper packing and handling techniques for electronic equipment, including cable management. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift and carry moderate weight (up to 50lbs). Valid driver's license may be preferred (depending on the company).
