This role is pivotal in upholding professional nursing standards throughout the patient care continuum, ensuring that the diverse needs of patients and their families are met effectively. The Staff Nurse is expected to embody and advocate for the mission, vision, and values of Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City (SSMC), delivering age-appropriate care in accordance with the Nursing Scope of Practice as established by the relevant regulatory authority.
Key Responsibilities
- Exhibits clinical proficiency in the triage process, including follow-up assessments.
- Demonstrates expertise in resuscitation techniques and understands the roles involved in the resuscitation process for various patient demographics, focusing on complication prevention.
- Maintains and enhances emergency care knowledge to provide a high standard of clinical service to patients.
- Possesses the skills necessary to assess complex emergency patient care requirements and situations.
- Demonstrates knowledge and competence in managing patients transported by helicopter, ensuring safety protocols are followed on the helipad.
- Exhibits proficiency in the care and management of patients on ventilators, emphasizing the prevention of complications.
