The Electrical Project Delivery Specialist at Toshiba will oversee all techno-commercial aspects of assigned projects, ensuring efficient execution to achieve optimal profitability.

Primary responsibilities include managing project delivery within approved timelines and quality standards while maintaining scope control and minimizing deductions.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Represent Toshiba with Integrity: Act as a key ambassador for the organization, consistently upholding its values, ethics, and professionalism when engaging with vendors, sub-contractors, and colleagues.
  • Foster Stakeholder Collaboration: Strengthen internal and external relationships through clear communication and alignment on project goals, delay impacts, and resolution strategies.
  • Build Organizational Capability: Lead and mentor a team of engineers, safety engineers/officers fostering a culture of continuous improvement, knowledge-sharing, and professional growth.
  • Standard of Conduct for Toshiba: Comply with and uphold the Toshiba Standard of Conduct.
  • Safety Standards and Guidelines: Adhere to all safety standards and guidelines set forth by the HSE team to facilitate promoting safe practices within the company.

Functional Focus:

Technical Support:

  • Assist in invoicing and receiving payment from clients in coordination with the commercial team.
  • Analyze cost and time impacts of owner and engineer comments during project execution, providing senior management with clear reports to inform final decisions.
  • Act as a checkpoint for design, engineering, and quality of works to ensure compliance with contracts and client satisfaction.
  • Comply with internal and international rules, fundamentals of supply chain, and local standards and laws affecting customers, suppliers, and partners.
  • Oversee regular financial control and reporting to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards for site operations.
  • Identify and assess additional scope requirements, communicate their impacts to the Project Manager, and implement necessary changes through change notices, red markup drawings, illustrations, presentations to ensure project continuity and alignment with objectives.

Project Execution:

  • Enforce project plan and escalate major technical issues with consultant engineers when required under the guidance of the Project Manager.
  • Facilitate project handover and oversee decommissioning of teams and infrastructure in alignment with directives from the Project Manager and the HOD (Engineering).
  • Participate in regular project status meetings to ensure alignment and progress tracking of milestones.
  • Assure product quality by coordinating with manufacturers/vendors for designing electrical equipment as per contract scope & technical specifications.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and sub-contractors; participate in technical discussions; obtaining approvals in a timely manner as requested by the Project Manager.
  • Assist in project completion with energization as well as final project handover.
  • Undertake additional tasks or responsibilities as may be reasonably requested by the HOD (Engineering), within the scope of works.

Research & Development:

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in transmission and distribution technologies and sustainable energy solutions.
  • Contribute to R&D efforts in grid optimization, energy storage integration, and renewable energy solutions.
