Aldar Properties PJSC is seeking a highly experienced Senior Design Director to lead the design process for its mixed-use developments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in design management, with a minimum of 10+ years of experience in the GCC region.
Key Responsibilities- Provide overall design direction on feasibility and test fits for mixed-use developments.
- Develop and implement design strategies that align with the company's business plans.
- Manage the creation of client design briefs and oversee the brief and scope sections of the RFP.
- Participate in prequalification processes and assess consultants' qualifications.
- Oversee tender evaluations for technical stage submissions and approve design-related submittals.
- Establish and manage the Aldar Design Guidelines with input from Design Excellence and Projects functions.
- Review project implementation plans and manage design progress against the program.
- Ensure adherence to Estidama standards and liaise with consultants to ensure drawing submittals meet Aldar specifications.
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in design process for developments with CAPEX 4+ billion AED.
- Minimum 2+ years in a managerial position.
- Strong background in residential, commercial, and mixed-use designs.
- Excellent design management capabilities and communication skills.
- Experience working with and leading multi-disciplinary teams.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, real estate, quantity surveying, or architecture.
