Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Manager to join our team at ZipRecruiter. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing and directing the distribution of disposable supplies, patient equipment, replenishment, and inventory management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Meet the expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
    • Act in absence of Director.
  • Supply Chain Management
    • Manage and direct associates and activities of distribution of disposable supplies, patient equipment, replenishment, and inventory management.
    • Interview and hire qualified candidates.
    • Coach and counsel associates to ensure optimal performance.
    • Monitor worker performance and provide constructive feedback.
    • Discipline and reward associates based on performance.
    • Conduct associate evaluations and provide recommendations for growth and development.
  • Customer Satisfaction
    • Monitor customer satisfaction of services provided and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Delegation and Resource Allocation
    • Delegate work to staff and ensure a balance of workload among associates.
    • Ensure each associate has the resources and/or training necessary to accomplish assigned tasks, duties, and responsibilities.
  • Process Improvement
    • Maximize quantity and quality of products, equipment, and services.
    • Pursue innovative opportunities for improving services and reducing cost.
  • Policy and Procedure Development
    • Assist in establishing and ensuring compliance with departmental and hospital-wide distribution of disposable supplies, patient equipment, replenishment, and inventory management policies, procedures, and job descriptions.
    • Execute and participate in a training/in-service program of each associate concerning distribution of supplies, equipment, replenishment, and inventory management policies and procedures.
  • Goal Setting and Planning
    • Prepare plan for goals and objectives for the department; the plan should be developed to the ministry's strategic plan.
    • Ensure that appropriate resources are available to accomplish the goals and objectives.
  • Confidentiality and Adherence to CORE Values
    • Perform all duties in a manner that protects the confidentiality of patients and does not solicit or disclose any confidential information unless it is necessary in the performance of assigned job duties.
    • Demonstrate adherence to the CORE values of CHRISTUS Health.
  • Additional Responsibilities
    • Work occasional long or irregular hours, including nights and weekends.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by Director or Ministry Leadership.
Requirements
  • Education
    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Bachelor's degree in a business curriculum or 5 years of supply chain related experience.
  • Experience
    • Recommended 5-6 years of relevant work experience.
    • Required 3 years of supervisory experience with a proven track record of completion of progressive tasks and responsibilities.
    • 4-5 years of supply chain experience strongly preferred.
  • Skills and Knowledge
    • Knowledge and experience working in ERP systems, with a preference in working with multiple systems such as Meditech, Infor, Epic.
    • Experience developing and writing policies and procedures.
    • Medical product and equipment knowledge.
    • Hospital supply chain experience in an acute care setting.
