  • Develop and implement effective strategies to help athletes cope with and overcome setbacks or injuries.
  • Conduct thorough diagnoses and treatment of sports-related injuries and medical conditions.
  • Offer nutritional guidance to support the rehabilitation process and promote overall health and wellness.
  • Evaluate athletes prior to sports participation to assess their predisposition to injury.
  • Collaborate with other medical experts to coordinate sports care activities and ensure comprehensive care.
  • Supervise the rehabilitation process and develop personalized exercise programs to condition rehabilitated athletes.
  • Develop and implement procedures for dealing with emergency injury situations.
  • Conduct research into prevention and treatment of injuries and medical conditions.

Requirements:

  • Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or related degree.
  • Current state medical license.
  • Minimum three years of experience as a sports medicine physician.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact closely with patients and colleagues.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, including psychologists, nutritionists, GPs, coaches, and physiologists.
  • Strong research and counseling skills to develop innovative solutions and strategies.
  • Capacity to tailor approaches to assist athletes in overcoming difficulties, improving performance, and preparing for competition.
