Talent Pal is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Civil Engineering Design Specialist to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our CAD department, you will be responsible for performing computer-aided design and drafting (CADD) for a variety of coastal marine and structural engineering design projects.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Drafting: Develop layouts, grading plans, and details for marine and structural engineering projects using AutoCAD and Revit software.
- Project Management: Manage the production of drawing sets from creation, markup, and modification based on overall design.
- Team Leadership: Assign work to mentor, train, and supervise CADD technicians in the preparation of design drawings and details, and review completed work products to ensure quality.
- CAD Department Management: Assist with CAD department management tasks, including estimating level of effort for CAD-related work, and assisting in the development of file management standards.
- CAD Action Group: Participate in the CAD Action Group by supporting networking and collaborating to improve CAD standards and efficiencies across the company.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other Geosyntec CADD practitioners to prepare design drawings and details, and review completed work products to ensure quality.
- Education: Associate's degree in Drafting or a related field, and a minimum of five (5) years of related experience in a professional civil engineering setting.
- Software Proficiency: Proficiency in Revit design software, AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and AutoCAD Map3D.
- Experience: Experience developing and working with grading plans, cross-sections, alignments, profiles, three-dimensional surfaces, and earthwork volumes for marine and other large civil design projects.
- Skills: Strong communication skills, ability to read, analyze, and interpret red line drawings, and ability to effectively present information to project teams and clients.
