We are seeking a highly motivated Procurement Officer to join our team at Gulf Marketing Group (GMG Group). As a key member of the procurement department, you will be responsible for managing IT, general procurement, and contracting activities.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement policies, standards, and procedures for cost-effective procurement operations.
- Supervise procurement and contract management activities, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Oversee physical verification and reconciliation of stock on a monthly basis, ensuring adherence to cost criteria.
- Manage consumption patterns, costs, and inventory carrying costs to set inventory controls and monitor storage costs.
- Coordinate competitive bidding processes, including RFPs/RFQs, bid receipt, opening, evaluation, and custody.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement or contract management.
- Strong knowledge of procurement policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
