OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION:

The role of a Senior HVAC Systems Specialist is to guarantee that HVAC systems deliver a comfortable, healthy, and energy-efficient indoor atmosphere, thereby enhancing the overall success of construction projects and the well-being of occupants.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Oversee and coordinate the installation, testing, and commissioning of HVAC systems at project sites.
  • Ensure that all HVAC operations are executed in compliance with approved plans, specifications, and industry standards.
  • Conduct site evaluations to track work progress and confirm adherence to design specifications and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other engineering disciplines to facilitate smooth project execution.
  • Identify and address any on-site challenges related to HVAC installations.
  • Compile and maintain comprehensive site reports, documentation, and records.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Engage with clients, contractors, and suppliers to meet project requirements effectively.
  • Provide technical assistance and mentorship to site teams and junior engineers.
  • Review and endorse HVAC system designs and modifications as necessary.
  • Ensure the proper installation and functionality of piping and ducting systems.
  • Stay informed about the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in HVAC engineering.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a Mechanical Engineer with a specialization in HVAC within the GCC region.
  • Strong background in contracting firms in the GCC.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of HVAC design principles, codes, and standards.
  • Good understanding of piping and ducting systems.
  • Proficiency in HVAC design and project management software.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
