Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with the IT Infrastructure Manager to develop and refine budgetary plans for IT infrastructure systems, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Assess hardware and software requirements for upcoming projects or maintenance cycles, considering factors such as scalability, performance, and vendor pricing.
- Monitor expenditures related to server infrastructure, tracking costs associated with hardware purchases, software licenses, maintenance contracts, and other relevant expenses.
- Identify opportunities to optimize spending and reduce overhead, such as renegotiating vendor contracts, consolidating hardware resources, or implementing more cost-effective software solutions.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in working in a similar position.
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field would be of benefit but not mandatory.
- Proven experience (3+ years) as a System Administrator or similar role.
- Experience with various operating systems, including Windows, Linux, and Unix.
- Knowledge of system security (e.g., intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery.
- Familiarity with various networking protocols, services, and standards.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), CompTIA Network+, or similar are advantageous.
